About the Gorilla

A group of gorillas is called a troupe or band and is led by a dominant male called a silverback.

Although they are highly adaptable and can survive in a wide range of habitats, gorillas are particularly vulnerable to extinction due to the growing demand for bushmeat and other illegal wildlife products.
